Neorem Magnets wins 2-year undulator project for LCLS – II
We are very proud to announce that Neorem Magnets was chosen to supply undulator modules for the ground-breaking upgrade of the LCLC – II X-ray laser facility at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. Over the next 2 years, undulator specialist Neorem Magnets will work closely together with leading experts from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. A total of 32 undulator segments will be delivered until the end of 2018. Each undulator segment consists of six, approximately 1-meter long magnet modules, which are placed in 2 opposite 3- module rows. A single module with magnets and pole pieces mounted on a supporting structure has a total weight of approximately 200 kilograms.
